Eco Mom Green Toys Blocks Review and $15 Gift Card Giveaway

Colton LOVES to play with blocks. He is always helping me build things with blocks and then of course knocking down whatever it is that we built. (Why do toddlers always do this? LOL) When EcoMom sent Colton and I the Green Toys Blocks to review I knew he would love them because he loves to build with his blocks. He was awake when the package arrived so I opened it for him and let him go crazy. I like these blocks because they are eco-friendly, and BPA-Free so they are good for the earth and for Colton.
The set of Green Toys Blocks comes with 18 pieces. These over sized, bright, colorful blocks are made from recycled milk containers! How cool is that? I think it is super cool to know exactly what product was recycled to make the toy.

Colton really enjoyed playing with the blocks, but I wish he had more of this type of block. Since they are a one-of-a-kind toy these do not go together with his other blocks. But I feel the fact that they are made from 100% recycled product and are BPA- Free makes up for this, I will just have to buy some more so we can make bigger things.

Baby Dipper Review and Giveaway

What's next on Santa's Shopping List?  Every toddler loves to get new tableware and here is one that will make a great stocking stuffer, the Baby Dipper Bowl!  The Baby Dipper Bowl is a bowl designed by a mom to allow toddlers to learn to self feed and for moms to feed baby with just one hand.

Hearth Song Rocking Seesaw Review and Giveaway ($79.98 RTV!!)

Let me start out by saying I LOVE HEARTH SONG.  They have very unique toys that you do not see everyday in the stores.  I am always browsing their site, checking out the cool things they have- wishing I had unlimited funds and could buy everything :-)

My little ones got to review the Rocking SeeSaw, which all the little ones that have come over have enjoyed playing on.  This is a quality seesaw is reccomended for ages 18 months to 8 years (or more) the weight limit on this seesaw is 140 lbs or 70 lbs for each seat.  I think Michael and Malena will be using this seesaw past the age of 8, they LOVE it.  When they came over yesterday they ran right down stairs to play on it and talked about it the whole ride over to my house :-)  What I love about this is that it is something that Colton can do with Michael and Malena.  He sits on the middle seat, they sit on each end, and he feels so excited to be included in their fun!  Colton is 16 months right now, but he is able to play on this seesaw safely.  I am always right next to him and for now I hold onto him, just to make sure he doesn't tumble off.  With the back rest and handle bars he is steady while rocking on it so I am sure there is nothing to worry about, I am just a nervous mom :-)

Assembly is required with this toy.  With 3 kids :helping: me put the SeeSaw together it took me about an hour.  I think if I had hubby helping instead of kids it would have taken half as long.  The good thing is I was able to assemble it on my own with the tool that was included with the set.  I need to tighten up the handle bars, feet rests and back rests with a wrench, which my father-in-law is going to bring over since I didn't have one.  The SeeSaw functions fine and the bolts are screwed it good, it just :clicks: when Michael and Malena ride on it since they go fast since they are just loose enough to move slightly. 

The Rocking SeeSaw is VERY reasonably priced at just $79.98.  For a HUGE metal toy, that is great for such a variety of ages to me this toy is TOTALLY worth the cost.  First off it is an :active: toy, so you are getting your kids away from the video games and TV and up and doing something.  We use this SeeSaw inside, but it is an indoor/outdoor toy so if you wanted you could put it outside too.  Also, if you check out the reviews EVERYONE had great things to say about this toy.

With the Holidays right around the corner us moms are busy Holiday Shopping, getting ready for Christmas pagents and parties there is no time to loose sleep and certainly no time for a stuffy nose.  Don't worry moms, Breathe Right has come to your rescue, they have just released a new Advanced strip that is even better at opening the nasal passages, which can help you breathe better and sleep better.  For a busy mom (like me) keeping my family healthy VERY important, as is a good night's sleep.

Here are some of my tips:
1. Healthy eating is very important for us and when you eat healthy you feel better too.  With all the sweets and treats around during the Holiday season some moms may find it hard to keep their kid's eating healthy.  For us it is easy though, all year long I help my family make healthy choices when it comes to food.  Colton especially is so used to eating healthy that if he has a choice between a cup of fresh fruit and a cookie he will choose the fresh fruit every time. 

2. Early bed times!  One thing I refuse to do is allow holiday craziness disrupt Colton's sleep schedule.  When we attend parties with him we leave by 8 PM at latest so he can be asleep between 8:30 and 9 PM.  (His normal bedtime is 8 PM)  Happy, well rested baby=happy mama

3. Wash hands frequently! Around the holidays the stores are busier and we get a lot more visitors than normal.  Colton already loves to wash his hands in the sink and we already wash our hands regularly, but with cold and flu season upon us Colton and I are washing our hands :extra clean:

$50 CSN Stores Gift Card Giveaway

Eco Mom Black Stoneware Compost Pail Review and $15 Gift Card Giveaway

Here is a gift for those that have Eco-Moms on their list.  There is nothing that makes composting more conveinent than a countertop compost pail.  For moms that enjoy composting, this pail is definitely a must-have.  Santa has mom on his shopping list too, which is why the Black Stoneware Compost Pail (available at EcoMom) is next on his list.

For our house this compost pail is PERFECT size, I do not have to worry about emptying it all the time, which saves me time.  The compost pail came with a few bags, which makes emptying even easier and less gross, I just take the bag out and toss it onto my compost pile.  Honestly, composting does not get much easier than that.  Thanks to the Black Stoneware Compost Pail I have the luuxury of discretly storing my compost until I get a chance to take it outside.
